Correlation Between Calculation and Testing on Tensile Specimens

Tensile Testing
Nine tests were conducted to failure in order to characterize the material of the specimens. These were cut from an aluminum sheet in three different directions.
The obtained data includes:
- Lankford coefficients, which characterize the material's anisotropy.
- True stress (MPa) versus true strain curves for each specimen.
Calculation/Testing Correlation
Several numerical simulations were performed to determine the parameters for the Hollomon law. The objective was to identify the coefficients that best replicate the material's plastic behavior observed experimentally.

Nakajima Test
The material parameters obtained earlier were then used to determine the forming limit diagram (FLD) through a Nakajima test.
